Ingredients

2/3 cup butter, cubed3/4 cup baking cocoa1/4 cup vegetable oil2 cups sugar4 eggs2 teaspoons vanilla extract1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1 teaspoon salt2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips1/2 cup milk chocolate chips1 cup coarsely chopped pecansConfectioners’ sugarPecan halves, toasted, optional

Preparation

Melt butter in a large saucepan. Whisk in cocoa and oil until smooth. Cook and stir over low heat until cocoa is blended. Transfer to a large bowl; stir in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to cocoa mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Dust with confectioners’ sugar. Garnish with pecan halves if desired.
