Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened1/2 cup vegetable oil1-1/2 cups sugar2 large eggs, lightly beaten1/2 cup buttermilk1 teaspoon vanilla extract2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour1/4 cup baking cocoa1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon ground cloves2 cups shredded zucchini1/2 cup chopped nuts1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

In a bowl, cream butter, oil and sugar. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in zucchini.

Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until cake tests done.
