Ingredients
1-1/4 cups whole milk1 tablespoon butter, melted and cooled1 cup all-purpose flour1/4 teaspoon salt2 large eggs, room temperature
Preparation
In a small bowl, beat the milk, butter, flour and salt until blended. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Fill buttered popover pans or large custard cups three-fourths full.
Bake at 450° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°; bake until very firm, 20 minutes longer. Remove from the oven and prick each popover with a sharp knife to allow steam to escape. Serve immediately.
