Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened2 cups packed brown sugar2 large eggs, room temperature1/4 cup whole milk1 teaspoon vanilla extract3 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon ground nutmeg1 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation
In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in milk and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and nutmeg; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in walnuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
