Ingredients

1 pound ground beef, browned and drained1 cup cornmeal1/2 cup all-purpose flour3/4 cup cream-style corn1 cup cooked or canned black-eyed peas, drained1 medium onion, chopped1/2 cup canola oil1 cup buttermilk2 large eggs, beaten2 cups shredded cheddar cheese1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Preparation

In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Pour into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake at 350°, uncovered, for 40-45 minutes or until bread is golden.
