Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened1 cup sugar1 cup packed brown sugar1 cup canola oil1 large egg1 teaspoon vanilla extract3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour3 teaspoons baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt2 cups (12 ounces) chocolate chips1 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats1 cup cornflakes or crisp rice cereal

Preparation

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the oil, egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.

Stir in chocolate chips, oats, and cornflakes. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes. Remove to wire racks.
