Ingredients

1/2 cup canola oil1/4 cup sugar2 tablespoons vinegar1 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon pepper1 large head iceberg lettuce, sliced6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted4 green onions, sliced3/4 cup chow mein noodles

Preparation

In a small bowl, whisk the oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper; shake well. Chill for 1 hour.

Just before serving, in a salad bowl, combine the lettuce, bacon, almonds, sesame seeds and onions in a large bowl. Whisk dressing and pour over salad; toss to coat. Top with chow mein noodles.
