Ingredients
1-1/2 cups sugar1/2 cup butter, softened2 eggs2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon ground cloves1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup applesauce
Preparation
In a bowl, cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine dry ingredients; add to the creamed mixture alternately with applesauce. Mix just until combined. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
