Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened1 cup sugar1/2 cup packed brown sugar1 large egg, room temperature1 teaspoon vanilla extract1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour1-1/4 cups quick-cooking oats1 cup Grape-Nuts1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, oats, cereal, baking soda and baking powder; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Roll into 3/4-in. balls. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets; flatten with a fork.

Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 3 minutes before removing to wire racks.
