Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened3/4 cup packed brown sugar2 eggs1/4 cup milk1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 cup quick-cooking oats1 cup chopped dates1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

In a bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in oats, dates and nuts.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 1 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and tops are firm to the touch. Cool on wire racks.
