Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil1/2 cup ketchup1/2 cup water1/4 cup vinegar1 teaspoon ground mustard1/4 teaspoon pepper1 package (16 ounces) hot dogs, cut into 1-inch chunksToast points or cooked rice, optional

Preparation

In a saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. Stir in ketchup, water, vinegar, mustard and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Place hot dogs in a 1-qt. baking dish; pour sauce over. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 30 minutes or until bubbly. If desired, serve over toast points or rice.
